The Drift Helmet Cam, or Drift HD170 specifically, has an integrated screen, as well as a remote control that is wireless, making it the first helmet cam that is a wearable full HD camera! Unlike most other cameras, this one films your peripheral vision, spanning about a 170 degrees of view and it keeps the speed of everything very realistic. The Drift HD170 couldn’t be easier to use. Plus, it comes with a variety of mounting options, which saves you money from buying them separately. Anyone who tries this helmet cam will find that it is hard to be beat the quality, features and value that it provides!
Drift Helmet Cam / Helmet Cam Review: Being an avid skier, I wanted a helmet cam that could hold up to the cold temperatures and not get caught on trees! I found it in the Drift Helmet Cam. I am genuinely impressed with the performance. I used it on a recent skiing trip and it did not get snagged at all. Better yet, it performed wonderfully! The Drift Helmet Cam, unlike so many others, has a remote control and an LCD screen. Both of these options make your life a lot easier! It’s helpful so you don’t end up wasting a bunch of video time on nothing and not knowing about it until you get home and play it back. This helmet cam also takes AA lithium batteries, which is great. Not only do they last longer, but they are easy to replace, so you are not running around trying to find some odd battery in the middle of a ski resort! I love this camera so much that we are planning on buying a second one so that me and my wife can have one on at the same time!
Drift Helmet Cam / Helmet Cam Review: The Drift Helmet Cam is a great investment for the money! It is one of the more affordable helmet cams, and yet it has great functions and accessories that come with it. For a mini-HD camera it provides high quality, has great options and is hard to beat. I’ve been using this helmet cam for a couple of weeks now, for a variety of activities, including bike riding and playing sports. If you want an affordable, yet high quality pick, go with the Drift Helmet Cam, you won’t be disappointed!
Drift Helmet Cam / Helmet Cam Review: To start with, I’m giving this four stars. But that’s only because I haven’t yet tested all the features. Once I test all the features on this helmet cam, it will likely be five stars. I thought the Drift Helmet Cam was going to be smaller, but when I got it I was surprised at the size. While it was bigger, it was still an ideal size for convenience and portability. I’ve used this helmet cam a couple of times and so far I’m happy with it. I still need to play with it some to get all the navigation right. Drifinovation.com has the whole manual for the Drift Helmet Cam. All in all, I’m happy so far!
Drift Helmet Cam / Helmet Cam Review: I have been using the Drift Helmet Cam for the last year. I’m a skier, so that’s where I primarily use it. I’m impressed with this helmet cam’s ability to capture the ski hill. While things are a little shaky it’s to be expected and overall I’m super happy with the Drift Helmet Cam. If you can afford it, spring for the Drift Helmet Cam HD, but either way you will love the awesome footage that gets recorded with this helmet cam.
Drift Helmet Cam / Helmet Cam Review: Overall I’m satisfied with the Drift Helmet Cam, however there are some pros and cons to this unit. I like that this helmet cam offers multiple file formats and that it is really durable. You don’t have to worry about dropping it, because it is well-built. Plus, I like that the 16 gig sdcard worked just fine in it. The cons to the Drift Helmet Cam were that it takes AA batteries, which do not last long. If you do go with this helmet cam you will need to invest in some good rechargeable batteries, or you will be eating through batteries like crazy. However, it is an affordable helmet cam and provides good quality, so it is an ideal option to start with.
