The GoPro Motorsports HERO Wide is a waterproof wireless digital video camera for motorsports. Its quick-release design simplifies click-mounting the camera to your car, motorcycle, helmet, etc. Developed at the track, the camera shoots TV resolution 30 fps wide angle video with sound tuned to capture the grunt, squeal, and stoke of driving or riding at the limit. Records 56 minutes of video to a 2GB SD card (not included). 2 NiMH or Lithium AAA batteries will last for 2 hours of video recording. Also shoots 5 megapixel still photos and a "Photo every 2 seconds" mode makes automatic photo taking simple. Kit includes 170 degree wide angle lens digital camera, housing, quick-release mounts, flat surface baseplates, curved surface baseplates, and powerful triple pivot suction cup.     Great all around helmet camera that has meet my needs. I have used the GoPro as a Motorcycle Helmet Cam, attached to the hood of my snowmobile with the suction mount and I also bought the ride Hero to mount to my mountain bike and all of the video looks great.  They down side is the 2 Gig card so you only get about an hours worth of video per card.  All in all a great helmet cam.

    I wanted to buy one of the GoPro Hero Helmet cams for awhile now and the main reason I didnt was they look so stupid.  I found out several of the Yamaha factory riders are sponsored by GoPro and some of them even wear the GoPro Hero Helmet cam in competition so it cant be all that bad.  Now that I own one it is truly a pretty amazing little camera.  The video is better than I thought it would be and the camera is solid enough it will stand up to just about anything.  I like to ride snow and dirt and the GoPro Helmet Cam is perfect for a weekend warrior like myself.

    Snowmobile season is here and I just hit the trails with my new GoPro Hero Helmet Camera.  When I was shopping for a helmet camera I wanted something that was shock proof as well as weather resistant so it would stand up to all of the elements you can experience while snowmobiling.  I am new to trying to use a helmet camera to capture video but after my first test rides yesterday the GoPro Hero Helmet Camera is exactly what I was looking for.   If you are looking for an economical Helmet Cam I would recommend the GoPro Hero Helmet Camera with the motorsports package to anyone looking to capture some great Snowmobile Video.

    GoPro Hero is solid.  At first glance the GoPro Hero Camera quite frankly looks stupid next to some of the other helmet cameras on the market.  Once you get past the obvious design flaws of the GoPro Hero you notice that this is really a solid all in one helmet camera.  I read about 6000 reviews on this camera before I made the decision to purchase it and so far I am not disappointed.  I do a lot of trail riding on my dirt bike so I needed a helmet camera that can stand up to all bumps.  I have noticed that mounting the GoPro Hero as a traditional Helmet camera as opposed to mounting it on the handle bars of your bike makes the video a lot less jerky.  Overall, I am sure that some of the other helmet cameras like the VIO POV.1 Helmet cam offer some better features and slightly better video but overall and for sure for the money the GoPro Hero Helmet Camera is a good buy.
